Apart from common people, brands equally share a great excitement for Valentine's day because this is one of the times where they can show creativity, humour, beauty, and most mportantly love to promote their brand.

From graphics to amazing storytelling, few brands never fail to show their creativity and out-of-the-box approach.

To prepare you for that crazy campaign, we have collected some best Valentine's Day Marketing Campaigns.

Check them out -

Cartier

The proposal

Okay, so let's start with my favourite one. Cartier is a famous jewellery company. To promote their business, they came up with this amazing campaign, The Proposal.

I guess if you are more into storytelling and emotionally connect, then my brother you are looking for such a campaign. This valentine's campaign idea is surely a perfect example of storytelling, timing, creativity, and love.

In this video campaign, they showed three different ways to convey your love to that one special person. The video leaves a profound impression on the minds of the audience and has touched millions of hearts. If you are looking to create such an emotional connection with your audience, you can use this video as your reference.

Cadbury 5 Star

Valentine's Day Alibi

If I am talking about a witty and funny campaign then this one I am referring to. Valentine's Day Alibi campaign by Cadbury 5 Star hit the right note.

It perfectly defines the other side of Valentine's Day, Singles. Cadbury 5 Star is giving the best gift ever to singles – a perfect alibi to get away from all the romance of the season.

Another fun element in this campaign is that instead, customers can win a chance to go on a holiday to a rented island, renamed “My Cousin’s Wedding”. So, when singles are asked about their Valentine Plan, they can finally answer truthfully: “I am going to My Cousin's Wedding!”. Simple, humorous, witty, and pure genius!

Ryanair

Only video campaigns don't perform better for your business. Sometimes, a single shot can grab more attention, and Ryanair Ltd., a famous Ireland-based airline company, is the best example of this. On Valentine’s Day, Ryanair launched a competition on Twitter with the hashtag #loveRyanair. In this competition, the company was encouraging people to post their pictures with their loved ones and asking them to choose their romantic dream destination they wanted to visit. The reward was worth the effort. The winner got a chance to win free air tickets to their dream destination.

Etsy

Love and support for small businesses

Sharing is caring. Etsy takes this quote very seriously for their valentine's day marketing campaign. E-commerce platform Etsy offered a ready-made graphic for social media posts to support their sellers on Valentine’s Day with the hashtag #MakeItMeaningful. With this campaign, sellers can gain the attention of their users to their Etsy store and drive more traffic. It may seem a small thing, but the Etsy name is enough to grab the audience's attention.

Revlon

If you know how to utilise the occasion of Valentine’s Day for brand promotion, then surely you can curate a great campaign. You can take inspiration from the Revlon Celebrate love campaign.

Revlon is a very popular cosmetic brand. For their valentine campaign idea, they tied up with Google and launched a personalised Valentine’s Day GIF e-card program named “Love Is On”. After that, they encouraged their followers to share those animated GIFs on different platforms.

Coca-Cola’s

Love is in the Air

Now, this brand doesn't need an introduction. Coca-Cola is one of the most loved beverage brands of all time. From kids to youngsters, we all enjoy the drink.

We can say, it is a mandatory drink at parties. Coca-Cola launched a video for their love campaign. Here, they tied Coca-Colas’ cans with heart-shaped balloons and freed them. The video showed the balloons flying across the city. The cans grab everyone's attention, and of course, you do not see flying cans with a heart-shaped balloon every day.

WWF

Love it or lose it

How can we ignore an awareness campaign?

Every year, beyond romance, we witness some great campaigns which show all kinds of meanings and causes. The World Wildlife Federation rolls their valentine's campaign around a meaningful message, “Love it or lose it”. The campaign features a video, a remake of Elvis Presley’s “Love me tender” and encourages everyone to take care of their natural surroundings or risk losing our mother earth. This campaign is a great example of how such occasions can be used to raise awareness, not just create revenue.

Hotels.com

Anti-Valentine’s Day

Okay, Okay, sorry!

This one is my favourite campaign, and I am damn serious this time.

Surely, this campaign manages to get a lot of attention from youngsters.

Hotels.com, a vacation booking website, came up with an amazing idea. They got attention by not getting into the traditional spirit of Valentine’s Day this year. They really understand the emotional connect marketing and hence, they invited users to visit their V-Day Dumpster Stay web page and write about why their ex deserves a vacation in a dumpster. All entries compete to win a $300 gift card for use at Hotels.com so they can enjoy a vacation. No doubt, this campaign is the anti-Valentine’s celebration, a fun gag to appeal to customers. Sometimes marketing is about going crazy.
